Mothers Day Page

So this is the page that featured over at The Stamp Spot this week. This photo was taken on Mothers Day this year down on the foreshore in Newcastle. We had such a lovely day.

I just love, love, love these Prima flowers and Pearl Swirls. And of course I love, love, love Tim Holtz embellishments.

And a card to share also. Sadly, I needed a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost a family member a couple of weeks ago. I wanted her to know that we were thinking of her and her loved ones.
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back again soon with more to share. But today I will also leave you with a sneak peek of my Glimmermist Class coming up at Pages 2 Scrap, on 11th June @ 7.00pm (edited to add: this class is full so will be repeated on Tuesday 29th June @ 10.30am)

Bye

Celebrate 5

I was just going back through my blog and realised that I hadn't shared my birthday page of Nathan. He turned 5 in March and was super excited to finally get there. :)
I used the Cricut to cut out the title.
And inked and embossed a chipboard number for embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by,

Mothers Day Goodies

Last weekend I spent Mothers Day with both my Mum and Mother-In-Law. We had a lovely day up in Newcastle on the Foreshore. Of course I was madly crafting the night before to create something special for each of them. Here is the result.

This one was for my Mother-In-Law.
For both of them I focused on them being the Grandest of Mothers.
These larger photos of the kids are just gorgeous, taken by my very talented friend Liz Walker.
And this second album was the one we made with Heidi Swapp the other week, with her House of 3 goodies. It was so adorable and really suited Mum.
I love to to give handmade gifts (even if I am pushed to create them at the last minute). It warms my heart when my Mum thanks me with tears and a hug.

Thanks for sticking by through all those photos. Will update with SIA photos this week, so make sure you pop back again, bye.

Mystify Me

The last couple of weeks have been flat out. I went away again last week for work to Mystified with Heidi Swapp and Wendy Senger (the wonderfully talented creator of Glimmermist). It was fantastic!

I started the day with a photo. (These two were so much fun to meet - friendly, full of info and happy to answer any questions)
And we got three FANTASTIC kits, full of new fun products.
And then we created a HUGE mess. (see the chocolate included, can't create without chocolate!)
Heidi was such a great tutor. Fantastically talented and so humble. And Bec being busy.
This is how our hands ended up.
And all day we kept going on about Max Brenners. So after dinner, that is where we ended up.
And who should run across the very busy main street of Newton to say Hi at about 9.30pm???? Heidi, Wendy and crew. They are so cute.

Back with details about SIA in the next couple of days (phew, so much to catch up on)
Thanks for stopping by,

Creative Block Day 2 & 3

Back again with the round up of Creative Block. On day 2 I didn't take many photos at all, just way too busy scrapping, shopping and socialising. My three favourite 'S' words.

So here is a tiny snippet of Day 2:

Here's Tracey doing a make 'n' take.
Me in the We Are Memory Keepers class.
And lunch time (more food)
Aisles and aisles of shopping to do
More and more aisles
And we finished off the day with a cocktail party on the roof of a hotel. It was great to chat and have a drink with everybody. (sorry bad photo but only one to add)
By Day 3 we were getting totally tired but we fronted up to another early breakfast. Here is the healthy starters.
And then tired 'ole me with the unhealthy version to finish.

Pancakes with choc chips, berries, maple syrup and cream. I had this EVERY morning.

Fancy Pants class today with the lovely Kathy.
And I met Jane Clark (from Stamping, Cardmaking and Papercraft) and Sherry Mendoza (from Scrapbooking Memories) the night before at the cocktail party. So Jane saved me a spot in the Fancy Pants class with them on this day. They are lovely and I had a great time in this class (thanks girls!).
Then we rallied round at the end of the day for last minute shopping (as if we hadn't done enough!), last minute make 'n' takes and photos with some great people we met from the States. Here I am with Rich (sizzix demo extroirdinaire and Super Grover impersonator), Shane from EK Success and Mindy from Core'dinations.
Tracey and I with Julianna from Sizzix (Super Grovers wife). She is just gorgeous and I can't wait to see her again in Chicago.
And both of us with Mindy (Core'dinations)
We headed out for dinner that night with Tracey's Auntie and Uncle and cousin. A delicious meal at Bow Thai. (I have discovered Coconut rice and love it!)
And then we lined up (yes, lined up) for dessert at this fabulous place that pretty much just does desserts.
It was delicious.
Phew, it was an exhausting but totally exhilarating three days and I loved every minute of it. Here is what we faced on the Sunday morning. Trying to squeeze everything into our suitcases. We managed ok and headed home.
Can't wait for July and Chicago!!!!

Creative Block

I have just spent four days of last week away with my boss, Tracey at Creative Block in Brisbane. IT WAS FANTASTIC!! We had the best time, learning about products, shopping, doing make n takes, shopping............and did I mention shopping???? lol

Here are some photos from our "business" trip on day one and two.

On the plane.

We arrived and checked out our room (nice view, bad photo!)

before venturing down to the restaurant for dinner (gorgeous food, felt ill afterwards though).
Then the next day it was on the bus at 7.15am for the trip out to Printblocks. (Me with my medicated sunglasses)

Where we saw some gorgeous displays. (Graphic 45 was just THE best)

Got some goodies in our classes. (Yay, free product)

Made some great projects.

We did some warehouse shopping (did I mention that?)

Then after it had all finished we trotted off to the shopping centre for some more shopping and dessert.

And then late night room service for dinner on our return. (yes, a bit backwards I know) :)

Lots of shopping and eating on this trip. Will come back tomorrow with photos from the rest of our trip.
