Art.

I created this little frame for display at work. I bought the frame on a shopping trip for only $10 because it had no glass. Perfect for some altered art.

I found the quote somewhere on-line and it kind of spoke to me.
And I found this gorgeous coloured crepe paper streamer at one of the cheap shops on that same shopping expedition. Bargain price - $1.00 for a huge roll. I just had to use it straight away. And that yummy striped ribbon from the shop and of course, the Prima flowers. Gorgeous!
Have a happy week.

Valentines Day.......coming soon!

I always let Valentines Day kind of slide by with only the minimum of effort to let the ones I love know about it. Somehow, I think that's not quite right. So this year I have decided to put some effort into it and cause a fuss.

Here are the samples for the Valentines Bag, Tag & Card class I am teaching up at Pages 2 Scrap (details here). Love, love, love this Pink Paislee Cupid Collection.
I have more of this range in my stash and intend to get busy on some 'heart lovin' this week. I will keep you posted.

Inks

I really enjoy playing with alcohol inks. The unexpected results always make me smile, it is not a medium to plan but to experiment with.

After doing a number of classes up at Pages 2 Scrap I mentioned below that I will be doing another one this Friday night. It will be the last one for a while. So if you have been thinking about coming to learn how to use alcohol inks, then make sure you book into this one.

Here is a little wall plaque I created with alcohol inks.
I created the marbled background and used the inks to colours bits of the white lace. The metal embellishment has also been coloured with ink. I love how it will colour metal.

So details if you want to come along can be found here. Would love to see you there.

It is heaps of fun and a great new technique to learn. Hope to see you there,

Happy Australia Day

We had a lovely day today, lunching with friends and swimming in the gorgeous summer heat. It was a perfect day for Australia Day. If you are Aussie, I hope you had a great day too.

Now onto some pages to share. I have to say it always amazes me how I never get sick of this craft. Sure, my mojo disappears sometimes and I struggle to create anything. But most times my thoughts are always consumed with this fabulous hobby. Hmmm, is this a good thing?? Not sure but I love it anyway. I sat down and created these the other night:

My gorgeous bubby (who is no longer a bubby)

Love these Tim Holtz frames.

And Sam I am.

So it's nearly time for school to go back and while a small part of me is sad that it's all over, another part of me is happy to get back to a routine. Although my baby starts school next week and that makes me really sad. They are growing up far too fast.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and have a fab week.

Let's Go Shopping

Just been on a little shopping trip while I eat my breakfast. Don't you love the way you can do that with the internet?

Go on over to check out the Moving Sale at The Stamp Spot. Heaps of bargains!! Got myself some more nestabilities (addicted to those things) and some Prima flowers. Can't wait to get them.

Now, off to Sydney to do some other retail therapy.
