Happy Birthday to my Friend

It was my friends birthday yesterday and she is a friend who is always big on spoiling me. So I wanted to make something special for her day. I made her this cute little book for her to display some "friend" photos in. (I apologise that some of the photos are a little blurry, but I really wanted to share as much as possible).

I have used a Collections Elements butterfly which I put through the Cuttlebug and inked and covered in Glossy Accents. The front was covered with a vintage book page that I scrunched up and glue on. Then I trimmed the edges with Distress crackle paint and covered the front in Tattered Angels Glam. Yum!
Then went crazy with Tim Holtz stamps, Heidi Swapp stamps, chipboard elements, 7 Gypsies transparencies and friendship sayings. Sigh...........love them all.
I had so much fun creating this and she seemed to really love it. Thanks for stopping by and I will be back to share some cards later this week.

Burn Baby Burn

This is what is going on at our house tonight.

But right beside it is one of these.
And this is my man doin' his thing.

He is a Rural Fire Fighter and in charge of training at his station. So tonight they are training at our house and burning off the lantana pile that Anthony has created cleaning up our property. And it is soooo much fun to photograph.

They make my Heart Sing

I took this photo last summer at a cricket game that Jack was playing. Sam and Nathan were playing together, climbing a tree just behind where I was sitting. I was inspired by Sketch #54 over at Inspired Blueprints.
Marcia at The Stamp Spot sent me these papers and I just love them. They are by My Minds Eye and you can find them here.

And this butterfly is made with the Cuttlebug butterfly cut and emboss set. Love it!! You can grab one at Pages 2 Scrap if you want to make cute butterflies too.

I then covered it in Distress stickles, a new favourite.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampers Challenge

These are some cards I just had published in Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft. It was a Stampers Challenge and I got to play with this gorgeous new stamp from Stamp It.

It is so much fun being a part of a Stampers Challenge. Can't wait to do another one. Thanks for stopping by,

Page to share

Here is a page I did as one of my last DT projects for The Stamp Spot. Nathan loves his milo, much more than any of the other boys.

Journal Fun

I have been working on my Donna Downey mini album over the last month or so and have just been using it to have fun with favourite products and fun bits.

Thanks for stopping by,

Vintage goodness

Just thought I would drop in and quickly share some creating I have been doing. Haven't had much time lately with being away and our P2S Retreat being on last weekend. But this week I plan to give all my new goodies from the US a good working out.

This little tag was a make n take I did at the Retreat. We used Darkroom Door stamps and Photo Booth images, along with Distress ink. Love how it turned out. Simple and fast but very effective, don't you think?

And this is a card from the set I will be teaching next week. Vintage Treasures is a class where you get to make 6 cards and we will be using Kaiser background stamps, Viva paint and Collections chipboard. I really liked how these cards turned out. Call the store on 1300 664 228 if you would like to book in.

Hopefully I will get some crafting done tonight with my two good friends and I will be back to share more over the next couple of days. Thanks for dropping by.
