Magnolia Bakery

I had fun creating these pages for my US album.

We visited the Magnolia Bakery in New York, which is where they got the cupcakes from for Sex in the City 2.  Of course they had a "Carrie cupcake", but I went for the Red Velvet Cupcake.  I couldn't visit America without having a Red Velvet cake...............and it was DELICIOUS!

The papers, alpha and flowers are all American Crafts.  Aren't they gorgeous?  Especially the felt flowers.

The holidays are flying by and I don't know quite where they are going.  Yesterday my gorgeous Mum & I took the boys down to Stockton Beach late in the day and I had some fun taking their photos.

Such fun light to play with.

Hope you are enjoying your holidays.  And to all those in the flood effected areas of Australia, my thoughts and wishes go out to you.  It has been a terrible time for a number of states here in Australia and I can not begin to imagine what lies ahead for so many.  May your tomorrow be better.

Dream.........Dream Big

I went on a road trip this last weekend to visit a new friend, Lisa Warren.  We had such a great weekend, scrapping both nights with this talented lady.  And visiting Kiama during the day to shop and lunch (where I purchased two new tops for myself).  On the way down Miss G and I stopped at a scrapbooking store to browse.  They had the My Minds Eye papers in store that I just love.  So I decided that the Eiffel Tower paper was perfect for scrapping about my Dream.  My Dream to visit Paris one day.  It is something I imagine my hubby and I doing later in life when the kids are grown.  I picture us strolling through the streets of Paris, and I see myself taking a TON of pictures (LOL).

Those who know me well know that I love girly, sparkly and pink goodies.  So I piled a bunch of those things on this layout.

And I love the MME alpha's and ruffle trim.  This paper is just gorgeous with the glitter already added.

What's your Dream?  Scrap it and put it out there, the power of The Law Of Attraction is great you know.

Calendar #2 & 3

Ok, it has taken me forever to get back here with the other calendar gifts so I have decided to get them both out of the way now.  My Mum has this one happily hanging on her wall:

I did hearts with Distress stickles and ink.

And I did Prima flowers with pearl swirls.

Then this is the calendar that made it's way to Dad's house (along with everyone's birthdays marked so that he can not forget).

Ok, so now that I have posted those I can go back to other crafting projects to share with you.  And I hope this year to post regularly.   This is my year for structure, in all areas including crafting.  With a plan for work projects time and personal scrapping time.  This last year my personal scrapping has been neglected and I plan on changing that this year.  I have collected a million and one albums over the last couple of years (mini, 8x8 and others) and this year I would like to fill them with memories and crafty goodness. So with structure I hope to balance my scrapbooking job, my ippity home job and my personal scrapping time alot better this year.  Wish me luck everyone!!!

Heartbeat

Well, Christmas came and went in a heartbeat and I can't really believe it is all over.  I pulled down my Christmas tree today and it only felt like last week that I put it up.

So now let me share with you over the next week the presents I created for my loved family.  Every year I create them a calendar for the New Year.  Here is the one I created for my Mother and Father-In-Law.

I simply purchase the cheapie calendars from the newsagency (about $3) and scrap over the whiteboard bit at the top.  Simple, easy and cute to create.

I love the metal lock and key from Tim Holtz.  And thickers always make the year easy.  And I love that this gives me an excuse to photograph the boys!

And while I didn't get time this year to create gifts for my friends, I did have fun with the wrapping.
